Salute to Veterans Published on October 30, 2024 The City of Eustis will be holding its annual Salute to Veterans event on Saturday, November 9, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. in Ferran Park. The event will honor veterans through a variety of activities including a parade, 2-Mile Dash, live patriotic performances by Showtime USA, and an afternoon Ceremony of Honor. City of Eustis Recognized at America in Bloom Conference Published on October 15, 2024 Representatives from the City of Eustis recently traveled to the annual America in Bloom Conference in Columbus, Ohio where the City was recognized for several beautification projects. Duke Energy Awards City of Eustis $15,000 Grant Published on September 20, 2024 Duke Energy Foundation presents $15,000 matching grant award to Eustis City Commission. Modern Schoolhouse Surprises Faye Shepherd Published on May 14, 2024 All of the students at the Modern Schoolhouse in Eustis surprised City employee Faye Shepherd Tuesday morning with balloons, flowers, a gift basket with snacks and their heartfelt appreciation. EPD Announces Promotions at City Commission Meeting Published on March 22, 2024 Eustis Police Chief Craig Capri announced the promotion of two officers at the Thursday, March 21, 2024 City Commission Meeting. Adam Abdelmessih and William Starling were both promoted to the rank of Corporal. City of Eustis Dedicates Intersection to Honor FHP Trooper Published on March 22, 2024 Trooper Richard Rowley of the Florida Highway Patrol was honored Thursday, March 21, 2024 at the City Commission meeting for volunteering to work the Washington Day Parade during the annual Georgefest event for 41 years. Chief Craig Capri presented Trooper Rowley with a dedication marker from the City, which will be installed at the intersection of N. Grove St. and E. Orange Ave. in Eustis. K9 Officer Retires Published on March 19, 2024 K9 Officer Mya of the Eustis Police Department was honored at the March 7 City Commission meeting upon her retirement. Mya began her career on May 9, 2019 with Officer Hackett, and continued with Senior Officer Victor Cortes after August 5, 2020. Eustis Fire Department wins Tri-City Challenge Published on March 07, 2024 Eustis Fire Chief Mike Swanson accepted an award Thursday, March 7, 2024 from the Rotary Club of Lake County Golden Triangle for the most pounds donated to Lake Cares Food Pantry in the 4th Annual Tri-City Fire Department Food Drive Challenge in January.
