Reminder: School Zone Speed Cameras Published on August 09, 2024 The first day of school in Eustis and Lake County is Monday, August 12, 2024. In addition to the school zone speed cameras on Orange Avenue, more cameras have been added on Bates Avenue and on Washington Avenue. The cameras are activated during the entire school day and tickets are issued if a driver is going more than 10 mph over the posted speed limit. Notice from Duke Energy: Crews Will Be Pruning Trees Published on March 08, 2024 Crews from Duke Energy will be pruning trees along electric lines located in Eustis through the second quarter. The map shows the lines planned for trimming. Typically, crews start at the substation and work their way out/down the line. Cold Weather Shelter Published on January 16, 2024 With freezing temperatures expected on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, January 16-17, 2024, Lake County emergency management is coordinating with the City of Eustis and LifePointe Church, who has offered the use of their facilities and volunteers to provide overnight shelter for those in need.
