Eustis City Manager Tom Carrino presented the annual State of the City address at the Lake Eustis Chamber of Commerce breakfast on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
Carrino highlighted the numerous new commercial and residential developments underway in the City, and stressed the continued importance of having a strong and committed Commission along with a dedicated staff.
Carrino explained that financial transparency is important to the City of Eustis, and as such the City of Eustis does not charge a Fire Assessment or make large transfers from utility accounts. The City also prides itself on being efficient and effective by having the lowest budget per resident and lowest staff to resident ratios in the area.
In addition, Carrino lauded the events department for awards received this year and the finance department, which received its 33rd Certificate of Achievement for financial reporting.
