Miss Georgefest 2024 Caroline Schapansky and Miss Georgefest Teen 2024 Chloie Sebree will be competing this week for the Miss Florida and Miss Florida Teen titles in Lakeland. A large group of family members, friends and city officials attended a reception for them on Sunday at the Brick & Barrel in Eustis to wish them well in the competitions. Mayor Michael Holland thanked the two ladies for representing the City of Eustis as the first title holders of the new Miss Georgefest pageant, which was held in conjunction with the City’s annual Georgefest celebration in February. Commissioner Gary Ashcraft, City Manager Tom Carrino, Events and Tourism Manager Miranda Muir, and Pastors Renee and Benny Hill of the city’s volunteer Police Chaplains program were also in attendance. The Miss Florida competition winners will progress through the national Miss America organization pageants.
