EPD Announces Promotions at City Commission Meeting

Eustis Police Chief Craig Capri announced the promotion of two officers at the Thursday, March 21, 2024 City Commission Meeting. Adam Abdelmessih and William Starling were both promoted to the rank of Corporal. Abdelmessih and Starling have each served the EPD for seven years, and both served in the Criminal Investigations Division and on road patrol. Abdelmessih was also recently named Officer of the Year for 2023.

The Corporals’ new badges were pinned on by their wives, Kelsey Abdelmessih and Miranda Starling.

A number of members of the Eustis Police Department attended the meeting in support, along with City Attorney Sasha Garcia, Councilman Gary Ashcraft, Vice Mayor Emily Lee, Mayor Michael Holland, Commissioner Willie Hawkins, Commissioner Nan Cobb, and City Manager Tom Carrino.
