Emily Lee received a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Masters of Science in Counseling from Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota. Her career includes teaching, school counselor, juvenile probation officer, Lake County Director of Children's Services, and Devereau Kids Neighborhood Facilitator.
Appointed by Governor Scott to the Lake Sumter State College Trustee Board for two terms, she served as the Trustee representative to the Lake Sumter State College Foundation. For the past twenty years, Lee served the Lake County Community by developing and coordinating the implementation of programs to improve the lives of children and families. Those programs include the Early Learning Coalition; Big Blue Bus Program; Tavares Boundless Playground and the Bates Avenue Resource Center.
Her three sons and their children are her greatest source of joy and pride. Lee takes great joy and satisfaction from being involved in the community.
