Eustis Hosts Bikefest Music Festival and The Moving Wall Vietnam Memorial
EUSTIS, Fla. (April 3, 2017) – The City of Eustis will host the second annual Bikefest Eustis Music Festival April 28 - 30 in Ferran Park and The Moving Wall Vietnam Veterans Memorial April 27 - May 1 in Downtown Eustis. The Moving Wall is a half-size replica of the Washington, D.C. Vietnam Veterans Memorial, which honors soldiers who died serving our country in the Vietnam War.
The second annual Bikefest Eustis Music Festival will feature continuous live music, free bike parking, local food vendors and drink specials. The first 100 event attendees will receive free, commemorative patch compliments of the City of Eustis.
The three-day event will tout the beautiful ride around Lake Eustis and will be promoted as a destination for attendees of the Bikefest event taking place that same weekend in Leesburg. The Music Festival will kick off from noon - 10 p.m. on Friday, April 28 and continue from 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. on Saturday, April 29 and from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 30.
The weekend will feature live music by the Ultimate AC/DC Tribute Band, The Bearded Brothers Band, Bad Mannerz, the Buddy Blues Band, Southern Chaos, Highway Starz and JW Gilmore & The Blues Authority. On Sunday at 11 a.m., LakeHaven Church will host a worship service and bike blessing. Also taking place that weekend in Eustis is a Swap Meet at the Lake County Fairgrounds from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Friday, and 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
In conjunction with the Music Festival, the City will also host The Moving Wall Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Downtown Eustis. Several community events related to the Wall will be hosted at the Lake Eustis Museum of Art, Bay Street Players Theatre and Trout Lake Nature Center.
“We think these two events will complement each other nicely,” said Erin Bailey the City’s Event Coordinator. “There will be many great activities across Lake County, so it will be a fun weekend for all.”
