Calling All Street Performers for Fourth Annual Eustis Busker Festival

EUSTIS, Fla. (Mar. 14, 2019) – The City of Eustis is still accepting performer applications for the fourth annual Eustis Busker Festival which will take place on Saturday, March 30, 2019 in Historic Downtown Eustis. The day-long event welcomes talent from all over the United States as street performers, also known as “buskers”, show off their talent and skill. The free festival will feature musicians, dancers, comedians, jugglers, mimes, living statues, artists, acrobats and more who will compete for the $3,000 grand prize, sponsored in part by Bay and Lake Pharmacy, the event Grand Sponsor. 2019 Eustis Busker Festival Performer Flyer
The free, family-oriented, festival will be in Downtown Eustis at “busk stops” from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Each busker will perform two, 30-minute acts throughout the day. Judges will rate each act and invite the top performers to the Grand Finale taking place at 6:30 p.m. in Ferran Park on the Bandshell stage. Top performers from each division will perform and compete for prizes including the $3,000 grand prize, a $1,500 People’s Choice prize, a $1,000 second prize, a $750 third place prize and 1st, 2nd & 3rd place divisional prizes.

“We are so excited to host this event again as the previous Busker Festivals have been such successes. Said Erin Bailey, the City’s Event & Tourism Manager. “Our community really enjoys watching the vast of entertainment.”

Travel stipends will be available to buskers traveling from out of the area and using local lodging. Stipend amounts are as follows: $250 for performers from outside of the US, $100 for performers traveling from out of state and $50 for performers traveling from outside of Lake and adjacent counties. Performers residing in the following counties are not eligible for stipend: Lake, Volusia, Marion, Seminole, Orange, Polk and Sumter. Stipends are given per entry, not per person.
