Lakeview Avenue Construction Updates

Lakeview Avenue Construction Updates

Eustis, Fla. (Dec. 18, 2018) Construction crews have completed the installation of the new sanitary sewer system up to Fahnstock Street.  This means all of the old sanitary sewer system west of TownHill Subdivision can be abandoned and the installation of the storm system can resume.

Crews will continue laying the storm piping to the east from Hillcrest Ct. until its completion, located approximately 280’ west of Fahnstock St.  Due to depths of the pipes, the portion of Lakeview between Hillcrest Ct. and Fahnstock St. may be closed at times.  Upon completion, crews will then do storm crossings.

While one crew installs the storm sewer, another crew will be completing the sanitary sewer installation from Fahnstock St. to the small pocket park at the intersection of Haselton St. and Lakeview Ave. Once again, due to depths of pipes, this portion of Lakeview Ave. between Fahnstock St. and Haselton St. will be closed at times. The completion of the main sanitary sewer line should take approximately a week.

The intersection at Fahnstock St. and Lakeview Ave. will remain open, allowing traffic to go north and south on Fahnstock St. or east on Lakeview Ave.  Built Rite crews can direct you on how to best navigate during the final phase of utility installation.  Lakeview Ave. will be open in the evenings and on weekends.

Please remember there should be NO westbound traffic on Lakeview Ave., only eastbound traffic for residents who live on Lakeview Ave. or adjacent properties.  All others should follow the detours.

Once the storm system is complete up to Jasmine St., road reconstruction from Hillcrest Ct. to Jasmine St. will then begin. New sub-base, limerock, asphalt, curbing, sidewalk and driveway aprons are to be installed.

Please obey all speed limits and postings for your safety and the safety of the workers.

All trash and garbage schedules will remain the same, please place your trash and garbage to the roadside on your normal days.

Thank you for your patience during this time of reconstruction.
