EUSTIS –  The City of Eustis is pleased to announce the 1st annual City-wide sculpture program exhibition on November 28, 2008 during the Light Up Eustis festivities.  The Eustis Public Sculpture Program is an annual sculpture exhibit where public sculpture artists contract with the City to display their work for one year while being available for sale.  It also brings large-scale sculptures to the public from professional and emerging artists to support the enhancement of the visual and artistic aesthetics of the City.

The City has contracted with seven sculptors to display their artwork 2008-2009 exhibition year.  These works join the City’s eight piece permanent public art collection and another three on loan for display at Fountain Green.

Sculptures will be for sale throughout the exhibition, with a small percentage of the sale to return to the program for the following 2099-2010 exhibition.  Artist's chosen to exhibit will receive a stipend and will be eligible for a cash prize - the People's Choice Award - to be presented in October 2009.
