Eustis, Florida is a progressive community well on its way to defining itself as a destination for arts and culture.  Building on its rich history of performing and visual arts, we are now focusing on the future.  The Eustis Public Sculpture Program will bring large-scale works of merit to the public by professional and emerging artists to support the enhancement of the visual and artistic aesthetics of the City.  Residents and visitors alike will be engaged in a City-wide exhibition.

The Eustis Public Sculpture Program is an annual sculpture exhibit where public sculpture artisans contract with the City of Eustis to display the works for one year.  All the art is available for sale!  The City, in addition to paying a stipend to offset transportation costs, will install the art and insure it.  Should the artist sell their sculpture, a commission is paid to the City, thus perpetuating the program. To read the qualifying information and to apply for the 1st annual exhibition, click here to begin!

During the year, Eustis will celebrate the Sculpture Program at various community events starting with “Light Up Eustis” on November 28th, 2008.  “Light Up” is a street festival that brings thousands to historic downtown Eustis.  The City will promote the Eustis Public Sculpture Program in a variety of media sources.  At the end of the one year display, the art is transferred to the new owner or back to the artist and will be replaced by new sculptures.
